I was looking forward to photographing my friend Sonia’s family ever since she asked me to do a shoot around the time of their tenth wedding anniversary (congratulations!) I met her, her husband, and their three sweet girls at the Valentino Park in Turin for their family photo session. The shoot had a funny start because the very non-shy squirrels were coming too close and scaring the girls when I asked the family to sit on the grass. They came with books and bubbles which were a great way for them to forget the camera and spend time together in a more natural way. The photos reading books together are some of my favorites and the girls read in both Italian and English as they have a bilingual household.
