When I met Daria and Mattia I could see that they were a relaxed and happy couple, and their wedding was a radiant event full of family and friends. Daria, the bride, is Russian and some of her friends and family came from Russia to share this important day with the couple. I began by photographing Daria’s preparation, and then I went to Piazza Vittorio Veneto in downtown Torino for a few shots of Mattia with his witnesses. The ceremony took place in the Church of Santa Teresa di Gesù Bambino in Torino, and after a moving ceremony with participation from some of the guests, we went to take the bride and groom portraits first in downtown Barolo (a little town an hour from Torino famous for its wine) and then in a vineyard next to the restaurant- they were both lovely, striking places. Then we went to the Locanda in Cannubi restaurant in Barolo where everyone finished the evening celebrating and dancing with enthusiasm.
